EDITION PRINT FAQS
What if I see a piece of work that isn't shown on the Print Shop web page, or if I would prefer a print in a larger size?
Much of the work shown on my web web site is available in edition print form. I can also produce prints in other sizes than those shown, if required.
Please contact me for more information, indicating which image, or images, are of interest.
What exactly is a limited edition print?
It is a print of which only a specific number are made. After the edition has sold out, no further prints of that work will be made.
An edition is usually dictated to by print dimension too, so there can be for example, 3 editions of an image, where each edition is of a specific print dimension.
Occasionally artists proofs are available, which are usually one of one.
What is a blind stamp?
A blind stamp is a colourless impression, that is embossed without ink onto a print. In the case of Julian’s work, the blind stamp is his well known JC logo.
Do you offer framed prints?
Sorry, no I don’t. Shipping prints framed under glass is both expensive and risky, so we leave framing to the customer, particularly given the personal nature of choosing from the numerous frame, glass and mount combinations.
What happens if the print arrives damaged?
In the unlikely event that your print arrives damaged, I ask that you contact me as soon as possible. I require that the print is returned, and upon receipt and inspection, I issue a replacement asap.
PRINT VISUALISATION
Is it possible to get an idea of how my work will look in a room or office space?
Choosing and indeed buying an edition print, or any artwork for that matter, can sometimes feel a little bit daunting.
To help with that process, I can create room visualisations to give you a good feel for how a photograph, or series of photographs, will look like in a room setting, be it a bedroom, lounge, office or gallery.
